Athletic Testing

For 2016: Free Athletic Testing with purchase of an Energizer  training package.

The main premise behind physical fitness is finding something active that you love …. And Doing It !!!… Plain and Simple. Whether it’s the movement that captivates you, the environment that appeals, or the results that drive you – making adaptations to your body requires consistency, effort, training, and feedback!

For some, you may ask yourself:

Where does all my hard work go?

Is it really making a difference?

Should I bother exercising?

Am I improving?

How could I be better?

Are there ways of improving more?

….. These are types of questions I can answer for you!

By using proven diagnostic technology, we will quantify in three broad categories your accurately document your:

  1. aerobic capacity
  2. body composition
  3. musculoskeletal fitness.

We will then identify your strengths and weaknesses and discuss how your body could change based on performance measures. It will be easier to see how you’re doing from season to season or year to year to help you attain your best.

Technical Elements of Athletic Testing

Aerobic:

  • Resting Blood Pressure and Heart Rate
  • Cardiovascular Risk Analysis  (BMI to Waist Circumference)
  • Aerobic Capacity:  mCaft Protocol – Sub maximal  VO2 step test.

VO2max is a close estimate the most amount of Oxygen ( in ml ) that your body can collectively consume per kilogram per minute.  Higher values are indicative of more aerobic fitness. By testing these values every 3 months or so, you can clearly see the progress in your training and the precise changes from date to date. We will also compare to normative data for your age and gender.

Body Composition:

  • Lean Body Mass
Fat Mass, and Body Fat percentage using caliper method
  • Metabolic Rates and Physical Activity Energy Analysis
Plus a Normative Comparison for optimal health and performance setting

Musculoskeletal Fitness:

  • Upper Body Endurance / Strength and Peak Power testing
  • Lower Body Peak Leg Power and Wattage testing
  • Healthy Posture Analysis and Core Strength analysis
  • Flexibility and ROM analysis
  • Weighted Healthy Musculoskeletal Analysis and Comparison to Normative data
